AUTUMN ENCHANTMENT

The arrival of Autumn in Michigan almost feels surreal as our surroundings transform into a bittersweet Summer’s-end.  We experience both letting go and holding close the last days of summer before going under winter’s cover.  Each Autumn brings several peak days where we have the warmth of summer comfort coupled with a color spectacle of golds, reds, oranges, earthy tones and even purples. This entire series was photographed on several choice days where the feeling of warmth, whimsy, and charm that Autumn brings was heightened.  As I photographed within just blocks of my home, I felt enveloped by a sense of what can only be described as pure magic and a kin to falling in love.  As you, the viewer, shares a small slice of what I experienced, may the spell be unbroken.
